 Robert Downey Jr., has won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his best performance in Oppenheimer at the 96 Academy Awards in Los Angeles 

 Robert Downey played the role of Lewis Strauss in celebration of his win with many Twitter users celebrating his win on Twitter. 

 Some were quite surprised to learn that this was Robert Downey Jr.'s first Oscar win 

 Actor Robert Downey junior said in his popularity speech that his childhood had been extremely terrible . He said that childhood horrors have strengthened so much that today stands at this point . He said that at no point in life should he give up . He became eternal, thanking his wife Susan Downey, he thanked her for supporting me during my difficult time 

 Robert Downey is a great actor . His presence is central to what has made the Marvel Cinematic Universe possible and interesting. In 1993, Chaplin was nominated for Best Actor. 

 Robert Downey was the favorite for the award as he had previously won many awards for the role, including a Golden Globe, AFTA and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
